The book follows the thread of Peirce's Pragmaticism from its conception, through the theory of signs, the phenomenology and derivation of the categories to the concept of Synechism, which Hausman takes as the heart of Peirce's evolutionary realism. This is a well-organized discussion of Peirce's work, introducing a continuity to his theories.
