Physicochemical textbooks and monographs, some of them admirable, abound, in which the theoretical framework of the subject is elaborated, general relationships derived, and experimental techniques discussed. Full understanding and mastery can, however, be achieved only by practice in the analysis and correlation of experimental data. Moreover, no matter how good experimental work may be, it is of little value unless properly analysed.
