Atlas of Medieval Europe
David Ditchburn, Angus Mackay
I was quite excited about this book but unfortunately it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Other readers already commented on the lack of colour. It's really essential for any atlas and it contributes to the understanding, for example optically indicating the small fragmented areas within the huge empires of the past.
On top of it I came across some blunt mistakes! I can understand creating such an atlas is a hard work but please, have your editors check what you write, especially when selling that book for such a price!
"The Ottoman empire, 962" is probably the worst of all, it's actually supposed to be the "The Ottonian empire, 962".
