The prior reviewer quiet asylum dan is very confused. The "clarified adaptations" in the book are used when long passages of foreign language material are presented. They are a clarified adaptation of a particualr Engligh translation, and not of the actual material itself. EVERYTHING IS STILL A DIRECT ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE ORIGINAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE MATERIAL. The author just took standard commonly used translations, and made minor revisions (mainly throgh using synonyms for uncommon English words used by the original translators) to them to make them more readable. This is a perfectly acceptable practice. Perhpas the word "revision" is a better way to describe the process, rather than "clarfied adaptation."
