This book is including seven different mysterious stories, by well-known writers such as Dashiel Hammett, Patrica Highsmith and Nancy Pickard. Although the story are not real, it can make you to keep sitting on the seat until finish it.

Each story has good introductions that help you to imagine to the story quite clearly. In the end part of the body, it can present the puzzles in the story and lead you to find the way to solve that puzzles, who the murder is. Sometimes, the puzzle may make you confuse but it is a good way to practice you to solve the problem. For instance, Ride the Lightning, Chapter four is very complicated because the writer didn't tell you who is speaking and how many characters in the scene. Overall, you needn't to be worry about it because finally you can understand all story when you finish it.
