My teacher used this book for my class and I found it to be very precise, instructive and useful. This is the manual to have if a painter is a beginner, intermediate or advanced. The text is interesting, but a little overwhelming. I practice strokes in an old telephone book or stock prospectus catalog while looking at these clear pictures.
