All New Electronics Self-Teaching Guide (Wiley Self Teaching Guides)
Harry Kybett, Earl Boysen
One thing that I like about this book is that it gives you something that is very important PRACTICE. I have not yet read the whole book, but I'm in chapter six, and so far it's been a great book. I also like the fact that it has a mathematical approach yet it does not go beyond algebra (there is actually a tiny bit of trigonometry in chapter six, but I was still able get by knowing pretty much what was going on). Overall an excellent book.
