Above Top Secret: Uncover the Mysteries of the Digital Age
Jim Marrs
Jim Marrs has established himself amongst the countless other conspiracy researchers in bringing alternative views and information to the masses in a palatable and coherent form. With topics of conspiracy lying on the fringe of mainstream acceptability, Marrs has nonetheless touched a nerve with the public at large with his ability to walk the fine line between incredulity and the fantastic.
While the bulk of Marrs' work has been focused on specific topics in the past, this time he uses the ATS site as a launching point for some of the most popular subjects of the forum users. Covering a broad spectrum of topics from the age old Kennedy assassination, lunar landings and the Federal Reserve, to the modern phenomenon of chemtrails, peak oil, and the ubiquitous 9/11 theories; with many more in between.
One thing this book isn't is a conspiratorial free-for-all where all logic fails to apply. Marrs manages to convincingly debunk Nazi antarctic bases while shedding poignant criticism on the Federal Reserve. Of course as a prerequisite, an open mind is necessary , however, one's own scepticism needn't be relegated to the trash bin either.
In all, while the dedicated fringe researcher will likely find the information to be old news, most readers should find this to be an entertaining if not somewhat informative tract. The subsequent water cooler talk alone will be worth the purchase price.
