I am the author of this book and I think that it's worth mentioning how I strove to make this book an excellent resource.

o I wrote the true stories of times when I used these skills for the curious,

o the clear and detailed step by step instructions for the novice and

o the many tips, tricks and insights for the seasoned outdoors person.

While the table of contents may look similar to other survival books, there are some skills not seen elsewhere and the real value is in the details, the subtleties born of years in the field not only practicing skills, but finding new ways to approach more familiar ones.

I trust that all who use this book will find some previously unknown skills or techniques to enhance their own search for experience and knowledge in the field of primitive technology and wilderness survival.
