At last the foundations of space plasma physics are presented both from the fundamental and theoretical viewpoints. Volume 1 - Stationary Processes is an introductory text of plasma physics relevant to the solar and terrestrial environment designed not only as a standard reference for scientists and students involved in space physics research but also as an introduction of space physics to laboratory and fusion plasma physicists. Main topics include: - elementary plasma physics, - small amplitude waves, and - the stationary plasma processes of solar wind, magnetospheric and ionospheric plasmas and the couplings among each other.
