The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that jobs in financial services will grow 12 percent over the next several years. The demand will be higher for certain positions in accounting, financial reporting, client services, and risk management due both to recently enacted legislation that imposes more rigorous financial reporting standards and to demographic changes, including a rise in the elderly population. The new career profiles include: Account executive, banking; Commercial real estate loan officer; Financial writer; Operations specialist, securities; Performance analyst; Request for proposal writer; Residential mortgage originator; and, Tax preparer.
