If you are already an expert and just want a beautiful coffee table book, I highly recommend this book. It is beautifully produced with very provocative layouts. If you are a graphics designer who wants to learn more about color management, look elsewhere. Try Real World Color Management (2nd Edition) for general study and Billmeyer and Saltzman's Principles of Color Technology, 3rd Edition) for more advanced topics, particularly pre-press.



This book is loaded with useful information and illustrated in a very stylish and clever way. Unfortunately, the body editing renders it virtually useless, at least for me. Imagine a great manuscript. Now imagine copying each paragraph onto a Post-It and putting them all on a large wall. This book seems to have been created by taking the Post-Its down in random order. If there is such a thing as "post-modernist" editing, this would be a good example. The structure seems more appropriate as a prayer book for the high priests of print design than a useful book for teaching.
