High Pressure Techniques in Chemistry
Wolfgang Holzapfel, Neil Isaacs
This book contains detailed of experimental methods and of the equipment needed for carrying out observations and measurements at very high pressures. These range from a few thousand atmospheres for chemical studies to hundreds of thousands of atmospheres for some physical experimentation. By these methods much can be learned concerning the structure of matter, mechanisms of chemical reactions and applications such as the preservation of food are discussed.
