This tongue-in-cheek book on last words is chock full of amusing anecdotes embedded in a delicious froth of ironic commentary concerning the grand cultural implications of death-bed utterances. I give the book three stars simply because it is meant to be a slight, dilettante work with all the airiness (and tastiness) of a souffle. If you are looking for some delightful bed-time reading, this is the book for you.
