This book is very well written, definitely suitable for the layman but useful for lawyers too. Durham takes a very complex subject, patent law, and concisely explains every key point while maintaining readability. It has just the right level of detail and the case law is cited throughout so those interested in particular points can follow up. This third edition is very much up to date, though the courts and the legislature could end up changing things at any time. The typesetting is excellent. I strongly recommend this book.
