Radiowave propagation and antennas for personal communications
Kazimierz Siwiak
This text provides an introduction to antenna and propagation problems in personal telecommunications - detailing practical solutions for the design obstacles posed by fixed site antennas, radiowave propagation and small antennas proximate to the human body. The book is divided into three main parts: the first section defines the personal communications link and explores the performance of fixed site antennas in that link. The middle chapters concentrate on extensive analysis of radiowave propagation. The last section explains the nature of waves in the vicinity of personal communications devices and explores suitable antennas for small devices. The concluding chapter presents the complete personal communications systems as an application of the communications path link.
