(SMACNA), in keeping with its policy of disseminating information and providing standards of design and construction, offers this comprehensive and fundamental "HVAC SystemsDuct Design" manual as part of the continuing effort to upgrade the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. This manual presents the basic methods and procedures needed to design HVAC air distribution systems. It does not deal with the determination of air conditioning loads and room air quantities.This manual is part one of a three set "HVAC Systems" Library. The second is the SMACNA "HVAC Systems-Applications" manual which contains information and data needed by designers and installers of more specialized air and hydronic HVAC systems.
