Radical initiators and radical generation reactions are used in organic synthesis to initiate reactions in such technological processes as polymerization, oligomerization, network formation, and modification of polymers. The authors (from the Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics, Russia) aim to present an encyclopedic account of the physico- chemical data of these chemicals and their reactions. They also present information about bimolecular reactions of free radical generation.
