Containing some 150 entries, from Academia, Clinical Pharmacy Careers in to World Health Organization Essential Drug List, this encyclopedia offers information about people, events, publications, legislation, institutions, regulations, and other clinical pharmaceutical information not directly related to therapeutics. The goal of this reference is to provide clinical pharmacists with information not found in disease- and drug-oriented reference works. Each contributed article is several pages in length and contains references and resources. Though the project represents the expertise of two American organizations (the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists), under the leadership of DiPiro (U. of Georgia College of Pharmacy), an international board of advisors has guided it, and the intended audience is international as well.
