Chemical kinetics introduces the basics of the subject, including rates of reaction and what factors can influence this. It then moves on to cover the chemical steps involved in a chemical reaction, and develops a mechanism which summarises this information, for both gas and solution phase. The book concludes by developing theories as to why and how reactions occur, and examines the physical and chemical requirements for reaction. It will be suitable as an introduction to the subject, and also useful as a reference to those going on to take further courses in kinetics.
