A recent conference brought together researchers who contribute to the design of cooperative systems and their integration into organizational settings. The aim of the conference was to advance the understanding and modeling of collaborative work situations which are mediated by technological artefacts, and to highlight the development of design methodologies for cooperative work analysis and cooperative systems design. Papers from the conference reflect the multidisciplinary nature of this area, representing fields such as computer and information sciences, knowledge engineering, distributed artificial intelligence, organizational and management sciences, and ergonomics.
