Zang Fu. The Organ Systems of Traditional Chinese Medecine
Jeremy Ross
The emphasis of this work is on the basics of acupuncture, learning to diagnose, differentiate, and treat in terms of TCM alone. Many concepts are presented only in Pinyin, emphasizing the place of the term in the system, rather than in relation to Western ideas. By offering explanations through flow charts and diagrams, the author avoids the confusion that often arises from too extensive or too complex a presentation. Coverage includes a discussion of Chinese medical concepts; a presentation of each organ system including functions and patterns of disharmony; zang fu inter-relationships, a clinical practice section, and case histories.
