This volume collects together the lectures and papers presented at the joint Los Alamos National Laboratory - Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique Meeting, held at Cadarache Castle, in Provence (France), April 22-26, 1985. About one hundred participants came from both laboratories and from other associated French companies.
