This study guide has been designed to help students make the best use of the ''Longman Pronunciation Dictionary''. The activities and exercises in the guide aim to help familiarize users with the conventions used in the dictionary, and to give practice in recognizing and transcribing a range of English pronunciation, drawing attention to typical features of spoken English.
