These are the proceedings of the Southern Illinois Algebra Conference.The conference was held at the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale on April 18 and 19, 1980 as part of the Special Week In Algebra , April14-19, 1980. The conference was made possible through the Interest, financial support and cooperation of the Department of Mathematics, College of Liberal Arts, Graduate School and Office of International Education at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
