In this handbook, the role of Nuclear Medicine techniques in diagnosis and treatment is presented in conjunction with the essential elements of radiopharmacology, instrumentation and radiation protection. This handbook is not intended to be as comprehensive as a nuclear medicine textbook but will provide a more thorough presentation of the specialty than is afforded when it shares the stage with other diagnostic imaging modalities. It was designed to be a practical and accessible handbook for trainees in both imaging and clinical sciences.
